We are a friendly group of people from Lewes and the surrounding area who are interested in gardens and gardening. We have a monthly programme of talks by a range of speakers covering many aspects of gardening including design, history, plant specialists and famous gardens from around the world. We are affliated to the RHS, and have an annual visit to one of their gardens.
2021 was our 40th Anniversary year. We were hoping to arrange a celebration event, but due to the restrictions of the pandemic, we were unable to celebrate. Perhaps we can have a big celebration in 2031!
We meet in Eastgate Baptist Church Hall, Lewes BN7 2LR, at 7.30pm on the first Wednesday of the month apart from January and August. In July we normally have an evening visit to a local garden or nursery. Visitors are very welcome to attend our meetings and we have a bring-and-buy plant stall
We organise coach trip days out to visit gardens in the summer and occasional 4 or 5 day holidays. Please see our Programme page. We have moved to a new meeting place - Eastgate Baptist Church Hall (opposite Waitrose) Membership costs £12 per year and includes all monthly meetings. To apply for membership download our membership form on contact page.
Visitors are welcome at our monthly talks for a modest £3
